2026 Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic Volunteer Registration Now Open!!!
Volunteer registration is now OPEN for the 41st Annual Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic August 6-9 at Life Time White Bear. We are so excited for this year's tournament and know none of this would be possible without the tremendous support of our volunteers as YOU are the heart of the Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic. Did you know that the Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic and the Pine Tree Apple Classic Fund have only one paid part time employee and everyone else involved with the event is a volunteer? Your time, energy and spirit are a big part of what makes this event so special, and we are truly grateful for all you bring to the Pine Tree family.

There are a number of different opportunities available this year, including earlier in the week to help with facility set up. And best of all, all volunteers receive a tournament t-shirt!
Volunteer Give Back Program is Back For 2026!!!
High school and college teams ... raise money for your tennis programs by participating in our Volunteer Give Back program. For every hour volunteered, an anonymous donor will donate $10 to your tennis program and another $10 to Pine Tree Apple Classic Fund. USTA Northern will also match every hour volunteered with another $10 for your tennis program up to $500! It is a great way to raise money for your upcoming season while giving back to the game you love!
NEW FOR 2026!!! Due to increased demand to participate in the program, each team is initially limited to signing up for 25 volunteer hours. If we see that you have signed up for more than 25 hours, we will unassign you anything over the 25 hours. If volunteer spots remain on July 15, they will be offered to all programs on a first-come, first-served basis.
Also new for 2026, each participating program/player will be required to help us spread the word about the tournament on social media by following us on Instagram and Tik Tok, as well as sharing and creating content. Please follow us on IG at ptacforg and on TikTok at Pinetreetennis and share the message about this great event.
Next Steps for Participation In the 2026 Volunteer Give Back Program
1. Have each player/program register for the Volunteer Give Back Program by clicking here. All spots must have a name and email address entered by July 1 or it will go back into the general pool. We had too many incidents last year where teams could not fill all the spots they registered for leaving us in a tough position for the event. Important: Players should list their school name when registering so your team receives its check from the anonymous donor for total hours worked.
2. Complete the USTA Northern Grant Application
To receive the additional matching funds from USTA Northern, your program must submit a grant application. USTA Northern has launched a new Grant Application Portal, and all users must create a new account.

2026 Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic Volunteer Opportunity Descriptions
● Facility Set-Up - help set up tents, tables, lay carpet, hang signs, vacuum and other duties as needed.
● Greeter - Greet spectators, answer general questions and monitor donation box. This is located indoors.
● Food Tent - assist where needed in the food tent including wiping down tables, putting items out, filling soda/water coolers, getting ice, serving food, helping grillers. PLEASE NOTE: The food tent is located outdoors. Open-toe shoes are not recommended.
● Tournament Support - assist with the tournament as needed. Responsibilities may include setting up or taking down audio equipment, making draw updates, assisting the photographer and making sure courts and spectator areas are in good condition.
● Junior Tournament Support - assist with the tournament as needed. Responsibilities may include making draw updates, assisting the tournament desk, and making sure courts and spectator areas are in good condition.
● Parking (MUST BE 18+) - manage parking availability and direct patrons, volunteers and tournament players to designated parking areas at Life Time Fitness and other local business in the area.
● Tournament Decor/Party Set Up - help decorate at both tournament facility and at Friday Night Appreciation Party.
● Merchandise & Silent Auction Area - set up the merchandise area at the beginning of the day, process merchandise and raffke ticket sales and pack up/store merchandise at the end of the day, set up and monitor silent auction table.
● Photography - assist the tournament photographer with photography needs.
● Marketing/Social Media - join our team to produce content for our social media sites. Please contact Lisa Mushett at lisa@ptacf.org for more information.
● Volunteer Check-In - check in volunteers, distribute t-shirts, answer volunteer questions.
● Player Check-In - greet players, hand out player packets and t-shirts, direct them to the tournament desk and answer general questions.
● Friday Appreciation Party - party set up, guest check-in, event support, clean-up and other various duties.
● Children's Craft Area - oversee the children's craft area by procuring supplies, maintaining a safe working environment and helping the children creating incredible pieces of art. This is located indoors.
