The story of the Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic is an amazing one!
In 1986, Ron and Mary Ann Peterson created the Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic - after their 12-year-old daughter Julieann was diagnosed with leukemia - hoping to provide medical professionals at Children’s Minnesota the means to conduct research, while still performing the crucial day-to-day efforts of treating children with rare forms of cancer. After 40 years, the Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic is stronger than ever, raising over $8.6 million for cancer research initiatives at Children's Hospitals and around the world during that time!
All of this would not be possible without the support of our community partners. We would be honored to have your organization join Pine Tree Apple Classic Fund as a sponsor for any/all of our signature events in 2026 including:
