Important Message to PTATC 2020 Supporters from Kevin Werwie, Pine Tree Apple Classic Fund President:
Held annually each August, the Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic (PTATC) is a premier mixed-doubles tennis tournament featuring more than 100 of the area’s top men’s and women’s tennis players.
PTATC 2020 Tournament Dates & Location
PTATC 2020 will be using a different format following guidance from federal and state health agencies regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Consistent with the USTA’s “play local” theme, we are holding the tournament over a three week period with matches played at a local park or club of the players’ choosing. Each round will be scheduled in one week increments to allow flexibility of date/time and location for the two teams playing. The tournament will begin on Friday, July 17, 2020 and culminate with the Finals for all three draws on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2020.
Division updates will be posted on ptacf.org and via our social channels. Draws for all three divisions of the 2020 Tournament will be made on Tuesday, July 14, and posted the following day on ptacf.org and social media. If you are not already following us on social media, please visit your preferred channel(s) and “like”/follow our page. Keyword: PTACForg
While we’re disappointed we can’t hold the PTATC tournament August 6-9 as originally planned, this “flex schedule with local play” format has the following advantages:
Spreads out the matches, limiting the number of people interacting to four. Click here for the "Safe Play Guidelines."
Allows for fans to come out and watch the matches at local sites while adhering to social distancing guidelines. Click here for the "Safe Viewing guidelines."
Virtual 35th Anniversary Celebration Friday, Aug. 7!

Registration for the free event is open now and the party is limited to the first 300 guests who log in on August 7.
